Abstract

Role-playing games (RPGs) are an effective and engaging method for teaching English as a second language. By simulating real-life situations, RPGs help students develop communication skills, expand vocabulary, and improve grammar usage in a natural context. These activities also enhance critical thinking, problem-solving, and social interaction. Furthermore, RPGs increase student motivation and participation by making learning enjoyable. This article explores the benefits of using RPGs in English language teaching and provides practical role-playing activities that can be implemented in classrooms to enhance students’ language proficiency.
