Ushbu maqolada gastro-turizmning turizm sohasidagi o‘rni va milliy taomlar orqali turistik brend yaratish jarayonidagi ahamiyati chuqur tahlil qilingan. Jahon tajribasi shuni ko‘rsatmoqdaki, gastronomik meros nafaqat madaniy qadriyatlarni saqlash, balki turizmni rivojlantirishda ham muhim omil hisoblanadi. O‘zbekiston milliy taomlari – palov, somsa, shashlik, lag‘mon va boshqa taomlar xorijiy turistlar uchun yuksak qiziqish uyg‘otmoqda. Maqolada xalqaro gastro-turizm tajribalari, xususan, Italiya, Turkiya, Tailand va Yaponiya tajribalari o‘rganilib, O‘zbekiston sharoitida milliy gastronomiyani turistik brending vositasi sifatida rivojlantirish imkoniyatlari va muammolari yoritilgan.
