Abstract

The article deals with the relevance of syncretism in literary studies which intersects with identity politics, national narratives, and the experience of postcolonial societies. In such contexts, syncretism is not only an aesthetic strategy, but also a reflection of lived experience - an expression of cultural diversity, historical reserve, and psychological duality. For national writers in particular, syncretism becomes a way of reconciling cultural heritage with new socio-political realities. Such richness, not inherited or fully formed, allows for the creation of identities that are intertwined in the space between multiple traditions.
