Abstract

Homonyms are words that are spelled and pronounced the same but have different meanings. They can be a source of confusion and ambiguity in communication, but they can also be used for creative expression and wordplay. In this article, we will study the types of homonyms in English and Uzbek, their use and their impact on communication. This article discusses the role of context in understanding English homonyms.
