COMPARATIVE-TYPOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF LANGUAGE UNITS EXPRESSING CONDITIONAL SENTENCES IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK LANGUAGES
Keywords:
Conditionals are essential grammatical structures used to express causality, hypothesis, possibility, and consequence.Abstract
This article explores the expression of conditional sentences in English and Uzbek languages. In both languages, conditional constructions convey causality, probability, and hypothetical situations. English conditionals are formed using verb tenses and modal auxiliaries, while Uzbek primarily uses the suffixes “-sa/-se,” the conjunction *agar*, and auxiliary verbs. The study aims to identify structural similarities and differences between the two languages, contributing to translation theory and linguistic typology.
