In English language learning, writing is a vital productive skill that requires continuous development. One of the most effective tools for improving writing is feedback. This paper explores the importance of feedback in developing writing skills, explains the main types of feedback—direct, indirect, and metalinguistic—and discusses the role of each in helping learners become more proficient writers. The findings suggest that a well-balanced use of feedback significantly contributes to learners’ progress and confidence in writing.
