Abstract

Iron oxide nanoparticles (IONPs) have gained increasing interest in diverse fields such as medicine, environmental remediation, and magnetic storage due to their biocompatibility, magnetic properties, and ease of functionalization. This article reviews the main synthesis methods of IONPs, including physical, chemical, and biological approaches. Each method’s advantages and limitations are discussed with reference to particle size control, morphology, stability, and scalability.
