Abstract

The article analyzes the effect of the oxidation process of engine oils on engine operation. The main reason leading to the formation of high-temperature deposits in engines is the oxidative processes occurring in the volume of oil and on the metal surface. These deposits negatively affect the reliability, efficiency and durability of the engine. Among the numerous properties on which the evaluation of the quality of lubricants is based, the antioxidant properties are important. Among the numerous properties on which the evaluation of the quality of lubricants is based, one of the most important is the antioxidant properties. The article analyzes the process of oxidation of engine oils during engine operation and ways to improve the antioxidant properties of oils.
