Appenditsit — appendiks, yaʼni koʻrichak chuvalchangsimon oʻsimtasining nospetsifik yalligʻlanish kasalligi. Kasallik belgilari odatda qorinning pastki oʻng tomonida ogʻriq, koʻngil aynishi, qusish, ogʻiz qurishi va ishtahaning pasayishi koʻrinishida namoyon boʻladi. Biroq, taxminan 40 % holatlarda bunday tipik belgilar paydo boʻlmasligi ham mumkin. Apendiks yorilishi ogʻir asoratlar: qorin parda ichki qavatining keng, tarqalgan, ogʻriqli yalligʻlanishi va sepsisga olib kelishi mumkin.
