Abstract

Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR) environments aim to create highly immersive user experiences. One of the key elements in achieving this immersion is realistic sound modeling. This paper explores the application of physical sound models in VR and AR, discussing their role in enhancing realism, the techniques used for implementation, and the challenges involved. The integration of real-time sound processing and spatial audio techniques significantly improves user perception and engagement in virtual environments.
