This article is devoted to the development of cognitive competences of primary school learners in English classes, therefore it is fundamental to their overall educational progress and lifelong learning capabilities. This article examines the key cognitive competences, including critical thinking, problem-solving, and memory enhancement, and the role of effective teaching strategies in nurturing these abilities. Drawing on contemporary research and educational theories, the paper provides a comprehensive overview of methods to foster cognitive development. Particular attention is given to the impact of interactive learning environments and the role of educators in tailoring pedagogical approaches.
