Abstract

The exhaust gases of the engines are a very multicomponent mixture, which includes about 200 components. During the combustion of automobile fuels, the emission of carbon monoxide (CO), unburned hydrocarbons (CH), carbon (C, soot) and nitrogen oxides (NO) into the atmosphere is normalized. The first three components are products of incomplete combustion, their emission is maximum at reduced operating modes of gas turbine engines. The content of carbon monoxide (CO) in the exhaust gas is the result of a lack of oxygen during the combustion of fuel.
