This article discusses the physical foundations of semiconductor devices, their types, operating principles, and their role and practical applications in modern technologies. The electrical properties of semiconductor materials and the operation mechanisms of devices based on them — such as diodes, transistors, integrated circuits, and photodiodes — are scientifically examined. In addition, the role of this technology in information technology, communication systems, medicine, and automated systems is analyzed.
