MODELS FOR FORMING COMMUNICATION SKILLS IN TRANSLATION STUDENTS

This article explores effective models for developing communication skills in students majoring in translation. In today’s globalized world, translators must be more than language experts; they must also be skilled communicators who can navigate diverse cultural and professional settings. Communication competence for translators encompasses linguistic ability, cultural sensitivity, interpersonal communication, and emotional intelligence. This paper examines modular and practice-based teaching approaches, analyzing their theoretical foundations and classroom applications. Practical strategies such as scenario-based learning, role-playing, and the use of authentic materials are discussed in depth. Moreover, the article outlines critical pedagogical principles for educators striving to foster communication competence holistically and sustainably. The findings suggest that an integrated, experiential learning environment significantly enhances students' readiness for real-world translation and interpreting tasks by embedding communication at the core of the curriculum.
