This article explores lexical semantic problems in translation, focusing on the difficulties that arise when translating words and expressions between languages such as English, Uzbek, and Russian. Key issues include polysemy, idiomatic expressions, culture-specific terms, lexical gaps, false friends, and differences in connotation and register. Through practical examples, the article demonstrates how translators must navigate complex relationships between words and meanings in order to convey messages accurately and effectively. The study highlights the importance of cultural and contextual awareness in achieving successful translation.
