VITAMIN DEFICIENCY IN ADOLESCENTS AND YOUTH: A SILENT EPIDEMIC
Abstract
Adolescence and early adulthood are critical periods for physical and mental development. However, vitamin deficiencies in this age group often go unnoticed, leading to severe health consequences. While balanced nutrition should be a priority, many teenagers and young adults suffer from inadequate vitamin intake due to poor dietary habits, socio-economic factors, and lifestyle choices. This article explores the impact of vitamin deficiencies among young people, the diseases they cause, and strategies to combat this silent epidemic.
