MESENTERIAL THROMBOSIS COMPLICATION AND PREVENTION MEASURES AFTER BARIATRIC SURGERY IN PATIENTS WITH MORBID OBESITY
Abstract
Topicality: Obesity is a chronic metabolic disease, characterized by excessive development of adipose tissue, which develops naturally, has a certain number of complications, and is a condition with a high probability of recurrence after the end of treatment[3,4,5,6]. Obesity is a worldwide health problem affecting children, adolescents, and adults, and is associated with comorbidities such as hypertension, dyslipidemia, type 2 diabetes, cancer, osteoarthritis, and sleep apnea. According to expert estimates, obesity causes a 4-fold increase in the risk of death from cardiovascular disease and a 2-fold increase in death from cancer. Analysis of obesity treatment methods shows that bariatric surgery is currently the only effective way to achieve long-term stable weight loss and improvement of comorbidities for this group of patients[1,2,5,7].
