In the face of accelerating environmental degradation, resource depletion, and climate change, the green economy has emerged as a strategic approach to harmonize economic growth with ecological sustainability and social well-being. This paper explores the foundations of the green economy, analyzing its core principles, policy frameworks, and global examples of successful implementation. Furthermore, the study discusses the practical relevance of green economic strategies in the context of developing countries, especially Uzbekistan. Findings indicate that transitioning to a green economy offers long-term benefits for both environmental conservation and economic resilience, provided that inclusive governance, innovation, and institutional reforms are established.
