ALEXANDER FAYNBERG’S POETRY AND TRANSLATION: A LINGUISTIC AND LITERARY ANALYSIS

This study examines Alexander Faynberg’s contributions as both a poet and translator, focusing on his approach to linguistic adaptation and literary transformation in the translation of Uzbek poetry into Russian. By conducting a comparative textual analysis, this research identifies key stylistic strategies employed by Faynberg to balance poetic fidelity with cultural accessibility. His translations of Alisher Navoi and other Uzbek poets illustrate a nuanced interplay between literal accuracy and artistic reinterpretation [1]. Furthermore, the study highlights the impact of Soviet-era literary norms on his works, revealing how ideological constraints shaped his translational choices. The findings contribute to a broader understanding of poetic translation within politically influenced literary traditions.
