CAN MACHINE TRANSLATION EVER REPLACE HUMAN TRANSLATORS?
Abstract
This article investigates whether machine translation (MT) can fully replace human translators. While MT technologies like Google Translate and DeepL have seen rapid progress, they still face limitations in translating cultural nuances, context, and specialized texts. Through analysis of recent studies and real-life examples, the article argues that while MT is a useful tool, it cannot yet fully substitute for human expertise in translation.
