Abstract

The digitalization of global trade has made e-business a leading part of the modern economy. However, this swift development is raising important environmental disasters and resource sustainability issues, as businesses face an increasing pressure to reduce their environmental footprint. This thesis studies how integrating knowledge management (KM) systems into e-business services can support sustainability and long-term growth. By managing and improving data on electronic business that facilitates the systematic allocation and distribution, sharing, and applying data in long-term that facilitates enterprises to optimize resource usage, stimulate innovation and technology, and develop sustainable business models. Through a qualitative analysis of research from three top e-business companies, this thesis examines the role of sustainable management in enhancing sustainability efforts. Research indicates that Artificial Intelligence systems have a critical role in reducing resource consumption which cause for improving energy efficiency, optimizing and creating environmentally friendly products and services in terms of e-business. Furthermore, knowledge management contributes to the development of sustainable supply chains through transparency in business and knowledge-based collaboration. The main effect of merging sustainable management is the initiative model of a company's cultural transparency that emphasizes on sustainability and encourages employees to actively contribute to environmental goals and success. The study shows the challenges and opportunities that is associated with applying AI in e-business, especially as it relates to balancing short-term earnings capacity and long-term environmental administration. The findings show that knowledge management is not only necessary to improve operations of e-business that correlates to sustainability, but also it serves as an essential tool to encourage the cultural change and diversity that is necessary for sustainable business projects. In this thesis, Knowledge management is a key aspect for sustainable e-business model which strives to provide a strategic plan and way for businesses to achieve their long-term economic and environmental success in the digital age.
