The progressive increase in the infectious pathology of the fetus and newborn is one of the most important problems of modern obstetrics. Intrauterine infection is the cause of a wide range of antenatal pathology: infectious fetal diseases, fetoplacental insufficiency, stillbirths, miscarriages, fetal growth retardation, and malformations. In the development of the infectious process in the fetus, the severity of the lesion, the localization of the pathological process, the time of occurrence of the pathology, the type of causative agent, its virulence, the way of infection from the mother to the fetus, the tropism of the causative agent to the organs and tissues of the fetus matter, Protective reserves of the mother and ability of the fetus to immune response.
