It examines the role of digital tools such as augmented reality (AR), Internet of Things (IoT), and big data in modernizing heritage tourism, promoting sustainable travel, and revitalizing urban centers like Berlin, Munich, and Cologne. Using case studies and empirical research, this study provides a framework for implementing smart tourism to safeguard cultural integrity while meeting the needs of tech-savvy global travelers.
