The gallbladder is a hollow organ in the body that stores bile. The gallbladder is a pear-shaped organ with a length of 10-14 cm, a diameter of 3.5-4 mm, and a capacity of 30-70 cm3. Bile is produced by the hepatocyte stromal cells and moves through the bile ducts to the bile ducts. The bile ducts pass through the connective tissue fluids of the liver, forming two right and left bile ducts, and then the common bile duct of the liver. It merges with the excretory duct of the gallbladder to become the common bile duct and opens into the duodenum.
