Abstract

This thesis explores the multifaceted determinants of adolescent aggression, emphasizing the interconnected roles of biological, psychological, and socio-environmental factors. It identifies four key contributors: (1) hormonal and psychological changes during adolescence, leading to emotional instability and identity struggles; (2) unhealthy dietary habits disrupting neurochemical balance and increasing impulsivity; (3) physical inactivity exacerbating stress, depression, and aggression; and (4) the pervasive influence of social media, promoting aggressive behaviors through virtual role models. The thesis highlights how these factors interact, creating a cycle of value distortion and emotional dysregulation. By integrating Milton Rokeach’s value theory, the research proposes strategies to restore health-based values, such as balanced nutrition and physical activity, to mitigate aggression. This work offers a scientific foundation for developing interventions to improve adolescent mental health and social adaptation.
