Five dominant trends emerged: artificial intelligence integration (89%), immersive technologies (67%), microlearning (78%), social learning platforms (56%), and gamification (72%). Digital literacy is recognized as fundamental in 79% of analyzed sources.

Media competence represents a paradigm shift in ELT, requiring systematic institutional changes and teacher professional development programs.
