THE USE OF AUTHENTIC MATERIALS TO IMPROVE STUDENT’S LISTENING SKILL

According to human custom,communicators try to listen and understand each other by speaking in turn. It is known from life experience that expressing one’s thoughts orally is a type of speech activity that many people like. Various information is obtained by listening and understanding another person. Being in a verbal conversation is a necessary need for a person.During the listening process,there are cases of partial or complete misunderstanding of the speaker’s expressed thoughts.The main reason for that is insufficient attention paid to teaching listening and understanding. This article is about how to use authentic materials to improve student’s listening comprehension.
