Abstract

This study examines the etymological origins of selected Uzbek words with semantically similar meanings. By exploring words such as uzum (grape), tuzum (system), and chapak (applause), the research highlights how linguistic structures mirror cultural practices, natural phenomena, and societal norms. The findings reveal the Uzbek language’s rich capacity to encode daily life experiences into linguistic signs.
