Abstract

This article explores the effectiveness of the communicative approach (Communicative Language Teaching – CLT) in teaching English as a foreign language. It highlights the principles of the approach, its advantages over traditional grammar-based methods, and presents empirical evidence from various studies. The communicative method focuses on language use in real-life situations, promoting fluency, interaction, and learner autonomy. The article also discusses challenges in implementation and suggests strategies to enhance its application in diverse classroom contexts.
