Abstract

Vocabulary knowledge plays a vital role in mastering any language. Without sufficient vocabulary, learners struggle to understand spoken or written texts and to express themselves effectively. This article explores the most effective vocabulary teaching strategies used in language classrooms. It applies a qualitative methodology by reviewing relevant literature and classroom practices. The findings suggest that combining contextual learning, visual aids, and active recall methods enhances vocabulary retention and learner engagement.
