Abstract

This study is experimental research that indicates the methods of forming B1 level pupils' listening competence. The methods were used at  Namangan academic lyceum of the Internal Affairs, course 1. At academic lyceums listening tasks are considered difficult process as a result, it was held in English language lessons. By reading this paper, readers find how to establish the methods. It particularly focused on helping students' achievement in listening tasks. During 3 weeks it was felt gradually improvement in pupils' listening. The methods of forming pupils' listening competence are advised for other subject teachers as well because by the methods pupils are able to focus on the main meaning of the theme and learn to express their own ideas to discuss the topic.
