Abstract

This paper studies the operating principles of scintillation detectors and their importance in measuring gamma radiation energy. Experiments were conducted to study the energy spectrum of gamma radiation emitted by stationary isotopes using a scintillation detector made with NaI(Tl) crystal. The spectra of Cs-137 and Co-60 isotopes were analyzed comparatively. Recommendations were given to increase the accuracy of energy spectrum measurement results.
