Antibiotic resistance has become a global public health challenge, limiting the effectiveness of conventional treatments and increasing morbidity and mortality rates. This article reviews novel strategies to combat antibiotic-resistant infections, including the development of new antibiotics, bacteriophage therapy, antimicrobial peptides, and the use of nanotechnology-based drug delivery systems. Additionally, it explores alternative approaches such as microbiome modulation, immunotherapy, and combination therapies to enhance the efficacy of existing antibiotics. The study emphasizes the importance of integrating innovative therapeutic methods with proper antibiotic stewardship to effectively manage resistant infections and reduce the risk of their spread.
