This article presents a comparative analysis of proper and common nouns in Uzbek and German languages based on morphological, syntactic, and semantic criteria. It examines the structure, orthographic norms, compatibility with grammatical categories, and communicative functions of nouns in these languages, which belong to different language families. Furthermore, the paper highlights the differences and challenges encountered during language teaching and translation processes.
