Abstract

This article explores effective pedagogical approaches to developing historical thinking among students of polytechnic institutions. The significance of fostering historical consciousness in vocational education is discussed in relation to the broader goal of shaping well-informed, critically thinking individuals. The study emphasizes interactive teaching methods, project-based learning, and the integration of local and world history content to enhance student engagement and analytical skills. The paper also provides practical strategies for history teachers to implement in polytechnic classrooms, contributing to the formation of students’ civic identity and professional responsibility.
