Tuberculosis (TB) is a widespread infectious illness, with multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) presenting significant treatment challenges due to resistance to first-line medications. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), around 500,000 new cases of MDR-TB are recorded each year, with treatment success rates ranging between 50-60% globally. Studying the morphological alterations in lung tissue during the progression of MDR-TB and its treatment could offer valuable insights for enhancing therapeutic strategies and improving recovery outcomes[1].
