Abstract

This article explores effective methods for teaching phraseological units (PUs) that contain the component "mouth" in the English language classroom. It highlights the cultural, semantic, and grammatical significance of these PUs and presents a range of teaching strategies. Key methods include contextualization, the use of visual aids, situational learning, emphasizing grammatical structure, and encouraging active language production. Through these approaches, students can gain a deeper understanding of the expressions and use them confidently in both spoken and written English. The article aims to provide practical insights for English language teachers in Uzbekistan to improve students' competence in using phraseological units and increase their cultural and communicative fluency.
