Abstract

The influence of Ancient Greek philosophy on modern linguistics is extensive       and varied. Key concepts introduced by philosophers like Plato, Aristotle, and the Stoics continue to have a significant impact on present-day theories of language, meaning, and communication. In this paper, we delve into the individual contributions of these philosophers and analyze how their ideas have shaped contemporary studies in semantics, syntax, and pragmatics within the field of linguistics
