Abstract

Phrasal verbs (PVs) are an integral yet challenging aspect of English grammar, particularly for non-native speakers. This study explores their syntactic, semantic, and cognitive dimensions, emphasizing why learners struggle to acquire them. We also evaluate pedagogical methods to enhance learning and propose a structured framework for teaching PVs effectively.
