Abstract

This study examines the semantic evolution and cross-language adaptation of economic terms in Uzbek and English under globalization and the rapid growth of information exchange. By integrating diachronic lexical-semantic analysis, corpus-linguistic methods, comparative-typological comparison, and document analysis, it traces the historical development, abbreviation practices, and standardization challenges of terms such as “inflation,” “GDP,” “investment,” and “credit.” The findings inform the creation of unified terminological dictionaries and educational resources that ensure precision and consistency in economic terminology.
