This thesis explores the comparative and combined benefits of active and passive systems used for heating swimming pools. Passive methods—such as thermal covers, wind barriers, and enclosures—are highlighted for their ability to retain heat and reduce energy losses without consuming external power. Active systems—including solar thermal collectors, heat pumps, and geothermal solutions—are examined for their efficiency in maintaining desired water temperatures. By integrating both strategies, pool owners can achieve energy savings, lower operational costs, and environmentally sustainable solutions. The study concludes that a hybrid approach optimizes pool heating performance and extends usability throughout the year, especially in varying climate conditions.
