Abstract

This article presents an analysis of recent research dedicated to studying road traffic accidents (RTAs) caused by road users (drivers, pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists, and public transport drivers). The article summarizes the main causes, risk factors, and methodological approaches considered in various studies. As a result of the analysis, best practices and promising directions aimed at reducing the number of RTAs have been identified.
