This article highlights the relevance and importance of forming the ability to think creatively in elementary school students. It analyzes the theoretical foundations of creative thinking, modern methods and pedagogical approaches aimed at developing the creative potential of students in the educational process. Also, the role of the teacher in the formation of children's creative abilities, the advantages of using interactive methods and practical recommendations are presented. The article reveals effective approaches aimed at increasing the personal and intellectual potential of students through the development of creative thinking.
