Abstract

This article examines the main aspects of tourism development in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, highlighting opportunities and challenges in this sector. It explores the economic contributions and emerging potential of the tourism sector and presents presidential decrees and government initiatives aimed at advancing national and international tourism. While Karakalpakstan’s natural resources, historical, and cultural monuments provide significant tourism opportunities, challenges in infrastructure and service quality may hinder development. The article also discusses proposed solutions to address these issues.
