THE STRATEGIC IMPACT OF TELEMEDICINE ON THE DIGITAL EVOLUTION OF HEALTHCARE

The digital transformation of healthcare is fundamentally reshaping traditional models of medical service delivery, ensuring broader accessibility, higher efficiency, and greater responsiveness. A pivotal element in this transition is telemedicine, which significantly enhances diagnostic capabilities, facilitates real-time patient monitoring, and enables remote clinical consultations. This article explores the strategic role of telemedicine in improving the quality and accessibility of healthcare, as well as its cost-effectiveness in the context of digital innovation.
Special attention is devoted to cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, cloud-based infrastructures, and the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), which collectively accelerate the evolution of telemedical platforms. The study also addresses critical aspects of regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, and the seamless integration of telemedicine into existing healthcare systems.
Furthermore, the research is aligned with the overarching goal of optimizing healthcare system management through digital technologies, as outlined in the author’s dissertation. A case is made for the importance of intelligent diagnostic systems, including the hardware-software complex Saliva, designed for the early detection of gastrointestinal disorders through non-invasive methods. The findings confirm that the implementation of telemedical solutions not only alleviates the burden on healthcare institutions but also improves chronic disease management and reduces overall medical expenditures.
Ultimately, successful digitalization of healthcare demands a comprehensive strategy that encompasses technological modernization, legislative reform, and the enhancement of digital literacy among medical professionals.
