Abstract

This thesis explores effective strategies and essential factors that influence young children's success in learning English as a foreign language, particularly in preschool and primary education settings. Key elements such as teacher qualifications, curriculum planning, class size, lesson duration, teaching materials, methodology, and parental involvement are examined. The study highlights that motivation in kindergarten-aged learners differs from that of older students, with enjoyment and engagement being central to their learning process. Additionally, the thesis presents practical and creative teaching methods—such as the use of songs, visual aids, mnemonic devices, games, dialogues, role play, repetition, and outdoor activities—to enhance vocabulary acquisition, grammar understanding, and speaking confidence in young learners. The findings aim to support educators in designing developmentally appropriate and engaging English language programs for early childhood learners.
