Abstract

This thesis explores the factors contributing to the United States' lag in educational outcomes compared to China, South Korea, Japan, and Finland. Using comparative analysis, it examines differences in curriculum design, teacher training, cultural attitudes, and policy implementation. The study highlights systemic issues within the U.S. education system and offers recommendations to bridge the gap, emphasizing the importance of equity, teacher development, and data-driven reforms.
