Abstract

This article critically examines the evolving role of the Spanish language as a diplomatic force within the framework of global governance. Moving beyond its historical roots as a language of colonial power, we delve into its contemporary significance as a facilitator of intercultural communication, a vehicle for diplomatic negotiation, and a symbol of cultural influence in the international arena. Analyzing the language's recognition in key international institutions, its impact on intercultural communication, and its contribution to the broader geopolitical landscape, this paper argues that the Spanish language serves as a crucial bridge between diverse cultural and linguistic communities.
