METHODOLOGICAL TRAINING OF FUTURE PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF INTERNATIONAL ASSESSMENT PROGRAMS (PIRLS)

Abstract

This article analyzes the issues of improving the methodological preparation of future primary school teachers in accordance with the requirements of one of the international assessment programs - PIRLS (Progress in International Reading Literacy Study). The main areas of the PIRLS program, namely the methodology for determining students' reading literacy skills such as text comprehension, analysis and evaluation , are studied. The need to train teachers in pedagogical education areas through modern educational technologies, interactive methods and classes aimed at the formation of functional literacy is also substantiated. The article also provides practical recommendations for developing the methodological competencies of future teachers based on international requirements.
