Marjoram is mainly grown by beekeepers for honey collection and for obtaining very valuable groats. Interest in it is further increased due to the presence of rutin in marjoram grains. Its groats contain about 9% protein, citric and malic acids, as well as a large amount of vitamins Bi (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin) and P (rutin). Vitamin E helps to preserve the groats for a long time.
